Don’t Let Your Age Hold You Back—Start your Transformation Today!
I’m thrilled to share an update on my weight training and fitness journey today. I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I started! To treat myself, I gave myself a special Christmas present in June 2022 — working out with Brittany Smith from https://britt4fit.com/.
Fit at 60 and Over
I had two goals in mind that I wanted to achieve by Christmas 2022. The first goal was to get rid of those pesky flapping flags. You know what I’m talking about, right? And the second goal was to be able to kneel down comfortably. Well, guess what? I’m proud to say that I not only reached my goals but surpassed them by Thanksgiving!
Let me tell you, the improvements I’ve experienced go way beyond just these two goals. Firstly, I finally got rid of the bra bulge! Ladies, I’m sure some of you can relate. I’ve spent so much money on bras trying to hide that bulge, and now I don’t have to worry about it anymore.
Another amazing benefit is that I can sleep on my side again. A year ago, my hands would go numb whenever I tried to sleep on my side, and it was making it really hard to get a good night’s sleep. But thanks to Brittany’s expertise, I now sleep comfortably on both sides. As an added bonus, I’m snoring way less, which means my husband is getting more rest too
But the best part? I can now bend down with my knees, which is a game-changer for me. I have a spacious walk-in shower with a full-length glass door, and being able to kneel down and clean the bottom of it is something I’ve been longing for. And yes, I can finally do it now!
Brittany has done wonders for my body, specifically focusing on strengthening and realigning my shoulder area. This has opened up both the front and back of my upper body. She’s also addressed my hips and ankles, which were causing problems with my knees. Thanks to her targeted approach to strength training and exercises, I now enjoy increased flexibility from head to toe!
My workout routine consists of one-on-one sessions with Brittany once a week, which lasts for 55 minutes. And I also work out at home 4-6 days a week, dedicating 30 minutes each time. As for the equipment I use at home, it’s a simple setup comprising a mat, ball, various resistance bands, and dumbbells.
I want to emphasize that age is just a number when it comes to our physical activity and body’s functionality. Just because we are older adults who’re eligible for social security and medicare doesn’t mean our body parts can’t continue to function properly. I’m living proof of that!
My Progress Benefits
This journey has done wonders for my confidence. Making a commitment to myself and prioritizing my health and fitness has resulted in an incredible level mobility that I haven’t experienced in decades. I’m seeing it, feeling it, and loving every minute of it.
If you’re looking to make positive changes in your own weight loss and fitness journey, I highly recommend checking out Brittany and her expertise at https://britt4fit.com/. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
